Fall Sports Update

ANHAA Families,

On behalf of the ANHAA Board of Directors, I wanted to give an update on ANHAA and our efforts to offer community athletic programs during the current COVID-19 situation.

I would like to start by reaffirming the club's commitment to the health and safety of our players, coaches, parents and spectators. This is a difficult time for all, and we know how challenging it is to deal with the uncertainty.

The ANHAA board, and the Soccer Subcommitte, have met frequently over the past few months to come up with a plan to resume activities. We have approved a plan that would allow us to offer U8 and U10 soccer camps in the fall, with a tentative start of September 9th. We continue to work on the details of that plan. 

However, the Governor and PA Department of Health have recently published guidance strongly recommending that youth recreational sports be postponed until at least Jan. 1, 2021. This includes competitions, intramural play and scrimmages. 

We will revisit our plans at the Board Meeting on September 2, 2020.

Our registration page is open, and you can register at no-cost, but I ask that you please be both patient and flexible. It is likely that the situation and our program will change, including the possibility of postponement or cancellation.
